Adobe Creative Cloud went live seven years ago, replacing the delivery of what used to be known as Adobe's Creative Suite software on CD with the subscription-based digital downloads creatives are now familiar with.
There are some creatives though who miss the old days of Adobe CS when they could simply make a one-off payment and use one or more apps for as long as they wanted. Many of the best known creatives we know made their name using old versions of Photoshop like 2010's CS5, while even those seasoned pros who haven't hit the limelight can still make a great piece of art no matter the version.

Where to buy old disc versions of Adobe software
Old CD-Rom editions of Adobe CS software can be found on Ebay, along with digital serial numbers which you can use to download software (but CDs are the safer choice).
If you have tech which can actually run a CD, then Amazon is another choice.
There's a Windows version of Photoshop CS6 which you can buy on the shopping site for £30, and another one for under a hundred. Anything else went out of stock long ago, even on Marketplace.
That said, there is an open box, German language version of InDesign on Amazon.
There's also a German Photoshop disc on sale from obscure music shop Grooves Land.

If you're not looking to travel so far back in time, then be aware of this trick to revert your software back to old versions of Adobe CC dating as far back as 2017.
All you need to do is click on the CC desktop app and then hit the drop down option where it says Install by the apps in your CC list.
Tab down to Manage and you get the choice to select either Uninstall - no, don't do that - and 'Older versions.'
Click this and the following list will pop up, as in below image.

Will Adobe sue you for going old school?
The CC method above is safe, but note that May 2019 saw Adobe send some non-CC users of its Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, and Premiere programs a letter warning they were no longer legally authorised to use the software due to ongoing legal issues with third-party software makers.
An excerpt of the email reads: “We have recently discontinued certain older versions of Creative Cloud applications and and a result, under the terms of our agreement, you are no longer licensed to use them.'
'Please be aware that should you continue to use the discontinued version(s), you may be at risk of potential claims of infringement by third parties,' it continues.
Nobody has yet reported being sued for having a dusty old version of PS on their laptop so you can probably breathe easy, creators.
